✨ What makes it special
Aleppo pepper paste and toasted walnuts thickened with breadcrumbs, balanced sweet-sour with pomegranate molasses.

- 3 red bell peppers, roasted and peeled
- 150 gwalnuts, toasted
- 3 tbsppomegranate molasses
- 50 gbreadcrumbs

- 4 tbspolive oil
Method
- 1
Roast the peppers until blistered and black in patches, then peel, seed, and drain them well.
- 2
Pulse the walnuts coarsely — muhammara wants texture, not a purée.

Add the peppers, molasses, pepper paste, garlic, cumin, and breadcrumbs, pulsing to a thick, spreadable red paste.
- 4
Loosen with olive oil, taste, and sharpen with more molasses or a pinch of salt.
- 5
Rest an hour for the flavors to settle, then plate with a drizzle of oil and crushed walnuts.
