What makes it special

Ingredients

  • 500 gflour
  • 7 ginstant yeast
  • 2 tbspsugar
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 300 mlwarm milk or water
  • 100 gsesame seeds
  • 1 tbspgrape molasses (for the glaze)
  • to tastezaatar to serve

Method

    Knead a soft, slightly sweet dough and let it double.

    Shape ovals, then cut a hole near one end to make the handbag handle.

    Brush with molasses water and press the tops into sesame seeds.

    Bake at 230°C until puffed and bronzed.

    Split along the side and dust the steaming inside with zaatar.
